Enabling Advanced Stock Management in PrestaShop 1.5

PrestaShop 1.5 has a new feature that allows you to manage your stock in more detail. This is known as Advanced Stock Management. It is completely optional and not enabled by default. When enabled, however, it allows you to keep track of warehouses, a view of the stock and its movement, as well as coverage and supply orders. This article is the first one in the course and details you the simple procedure on how to enable the Advanced Stock Management with the instructions below.

How to enable the Advanced Stock Management in PrestaShop 1.5

1. Log into your PrestaShop 1.5 dashboard.
2. Using the top menu bar, hover over the Preferences tab and click on the Products option from the menu.
3. This brings you to the Products list page. This page lists many options for the products in your store. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and look for a section named Products Stock. You will see a field entitled Enable Advanced Stock Management. To enable this setting, select the radio button with the green checkmark.
   
4. Once you have enabled the Advanced Stock Management, click on the green Save button at the upper right corner of the screen to save the setting.
