How to disable a state in PrestaShop 1.5

After learning how to add and edit a state from the list in your Prestashop 1.5 store, you will now want to learn to disable a state. This is useful when you have the state data and do not want to allow it to be used at the present time. This way, the state is not displayed in the list, but you still retain the data so that if you reactivate it later, you do not have to re-create the entire record. The instructions below will guide you on disabling a state in your PrestaShop 1.5 store.

Preventing a state from displaying in PrestaShop 1.5

1. Log into your PrestaShop 1.5 admin dashboard.
2. Using the top menu bar, hover over the Localizations tab and click on the States option.
3. This brings you to the States list screen. From here, locate the state you want to disable and select the checkbox to the left side of that row. You may select more than one state if you wish. Once selected, click the Disable Selection button located underneath the state list.
   
4. Once disabled, the list will refresh and you will see a red X in the Enabled column for the state.
