Backing up your Database for your OpenCart website

OpenCart allows you to create and restore backups with just a few simple clicks. We recommend maintaining your own regular backups. Backing up your database (where OpenCart stores content) is handled through your OpenCart dashboard.
- Log into your OpenCart Dashboard
- Go to System > Backup/Restore
- In the Backup section, choose all the tables you wish to backup. If you want to back up the entire database, click “Select All” We recommend backing up all your tables
- Click the “Backup” button in the upper right corner
Now you have completed backing up your database. You’ll notice OpenCart created a file for you to download to your local computer. This is the backup file. Store this file wherever you’d like on your local computer for future reference.
