Regularly changing your Magento 1.6 password helps to secure your Magento website. This gives hackers less of an opportunity to "guess" your password. Changing your admin password in Magento 1.6 is quite simple in the Magento Admin Backend.
- Log into your Magento Admin Panel
- Go to System ->> My Account
- Type in the new password in the "New Password" and the "Password Confirmation" fields
- click "Save Account"
