We've already seen that the admin user experience has been updated and improved with the release of Joomla 3.2. Similar to these backend changes, the Joomla template system has been given an update as well. In Joomla 3.2 we see newer versions of jQuery and Bootstrap being used, as well as the addition of jQuery migrate.

Not all scripts are backwards compatible. If you're running software built for a newer version of jQuery, yet your website is using an older version of jQuery, that software may not run as it's intended. Knowing which library versions are included with each release of Joomla is helpful information that can assist you while troubleshooting.

In this tutorial, we've taken a step back in time to review how the library versions / frameworks included with Joomla have changed. We installed a fresh copy of each version of Joomla listed below and looked at the libraries and versions that were included.

Joomla 1.0.15 Joomla 1.5 Joomla 1.6 Joomla 1.7 Joomla 2.5 Joomla 3.0 Joomla 3.1 Joomla 3.2
