In order to set up your email clients like Outlook, Mac mail, or Thunderbird, you will need to obtain your email settings. This article will give you the steps to find your email account settings in cPanel.

Steps to find your email settings

  1. Login into your cPanel.
  2. Email accounts cPanel WebmailGo to Mail > Email Accounts.
  3. Configure email account cPanel WebmailNavigate to your email and select the "More" drop box to the right of your email account.

    Note! If there is no email account listed, you will need to create one.

    Select Configure Email Client.

    Here is where you will find your email settings. The Newer cPanel versions have a different look than the older cPanel installations. Below is what each looks like.

Finding your email settings in Webmail

Email settings in webmail cPanel WebmailYou can also get to the email settings through your Webmail interface. First you will need to Log into your Webmail. Once logged in you will see the option to "Configure Email Client". This will take you to the same location the cPanel method takes you.

Unable to send or receive emails at all to or from ******

Since this is a public forum, I have updated your email addresses for security purposes. Also, posting your email address publicly can result in many spam emails.

The email quota is set when an email address is created, and can be changed at any time.

Here is a link to our guide on the quota exceeded error, which explains how to increase the quota, and allows email to continue working.

I have had no luck with your email client. Every time I try to add an account (my Gmail account), It just says: Incorrect Username and Password

The details I have entered are definitely correct so I'm not sure what's going on. Not very user friendly, that's for sure.

Sorry for the confusion and frustration. The email settings provided in this article are used to for setting up an email client. If you are getting an error that says "Incorrect Username and password" , then you need to be looking at the username and password created for the user in cPanel. Make sure that the user name and password you are using has been setup in the cPanel (under the email section). Additionally, the domain name should be valid. If the domain name has been altered/changed, then it would require up to 24 hours for the change to take effect.

For further information, compare the directions provided with this article: Setting up Gmail for Pop3 and SMTP. I double-checked your server and email is working with no problems. Pleases review the process and make sure that the process you're using to add the account is still valid.

i am using local host.How can i sure that i get the alart when order is submitted.I am using Gmail.

Hi, I set up an email account for my website and now want to add the account to my Apple Mail account (os with El Capitan) on my computer using Imap but I am having problems right from the start.  When I click on new account it asks me to first "Choose a Mail account provider"  the options are: iCloud, Exchange, Google, Yahoo, Aol or Other Mail Account.  I chose "Other" and add my name, email address and password and it says in red "Unable to verify account name and password.  I have tried several things but nothing works.  Do you have any idea of what I should do?  Thanks.

Next, double check your email settings for typos or misspellings, you can view your email settings in cPanel at any time.

If your problems persist, check your mail logs for errors or record of your connection. If you are on a shared server, Live Support can help you review the mail logs.
