What is an Email Signature?

An email signature is just like a signature added to the bottom of a letter you write. It adds your information to the end of each email you compose. A typical business signature may look like this:

John Q. Smith

Vice President of Marketing

JSmith@yourdomain.com

757-555-1234

yourdomain.com

Why use a Signature on Your Email?

Adding an email signature to the bottom of your correspondance allows you to add additional information to your emails without having to manually type it in everytime you send a new email. By creating a signature the information will be included automatically in every email and saves time since you will not have to re-type it. Even for personal emails, you can add your various contact information or a favorite quote.

Hi MontanaYankee,

Thanks for posting your comment. I'm more than happy to help you today. Sure, it's possible to add a logo or image to your signature in emails.

If you let me know what email client you are using I'd be happy to show you how to add a logo to your signature.

If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.

Thanks!

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for getting back to me. I've done some research and testing (since I don't regularly use Horde) and it appears it simple email clients such as Horde it's not possible.

If you use an email client such as Outlook or Thunderbird you should be able to embed an image using HTML into the signature of the email.

If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.

Thanks!

Thanks again, Tim. My previous host was GoDaddy. My email client was also GoDaddy. But when I switched to IMH I switched the email over too. How can I switch my email client back to GoDaddy?

Hi Jeremy,

Thanks for getting back to me. You can host your website here and email at GoDaddy if you wish. You'd simply need to set up an MX record to point your email to the GoDaddy server. Here's a link to our article:

Thanks!
