I have a cron job that I did not schedule, yet it runs every hour and does not appear to be doing anything.
"php –q /home/homedir/public_html/wp-cron.php"
Is this something that needs to run? or can I safely delete it?
thanks

Hello karenratte@gmail.com,

The wp-cron can be disabled if you wish. I have an article that explains how to turn off the wp-cron in wordpress. This should be just what you need.

I hope this answers your question. If you have any more questions or information specific to the issue please leave a comment below so we can further assist you.

Best Regards,
