Hi,

I have exactly the same problem. Did you find a solution for the 'not detected' issue?

Hello Peditro,

It looks like in LauraE's case, some Apache modules couldn't be automatically detected by the W3 Total Cache plugin but it still worked.

It would depend where you have the website hosted as to if they do indeed have these modules on the server that W3 Total Cache needs.

I haven't encountered these issues myself, so could you please let us know the steps you are using to recreate these errors, and does it just stop you there or allow you to still enable the plugin?

Hi @jacobIMH
Thanks for the reply.

In my case not detecting the modules is creating issues. And i have Inmotion Wordpress hosting (Power Package).
The big problem is; the page cache methode 'DISK ENHANCED' is not active or available. And so it isn't possible to enable page caching. When checking te 'page cache' to active it, after save the page, the 'page cache is again 'unchecked' and so inactive.
the 'Empty cache' button is also not available to active or click on. So i can't empty cache. So its isn't possible to use this plugin correct . I have tried to use the plugin on a brand new Wordpress install and another domains in the inmotion server/hosting, the issue/error still appears every time.
I have searched now for more then 10-11 hours for a solution, but still can't resolve te issue.

Disk caching should work fine. Try renaming any .htaccess files or php.ini files within your account to see if that resolves the issue.

Hi LauraE,

Thank you for your questions related to the W3 Total Cache plugin. The items listed as not installed (Opcode cache and Memcache) are not required for you to use that plugin. The items listed as not detected are Apache modules that are enabled on the server, but cannot be automatically confirmed by the module. I double checked, and all of those modules are enabled on the server. No changes are needed in your cPanel.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions or need further assistance.

Regards,

Christi N.
