I have a wordpress template that was customized offline how do I install it?

Hi sastation,

Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you. If it is just the template files that were customized you can manually install the template to your WordPress website. You'll need to use FTP or cPanel's File Manager to do so. Once all the files are uploaded, you'll simply activate the theme in the WordPress dashboard.

Manually Installing a WordPress Theme



  1. Using an FTP program, upload the template folder (all the theme/ template files should be in one folder) to the /wp-content/themes folder in the root of your WordPress installation

  2. Now, log into your WordPress Admin Dashboard

  3. Go to Appearance ->> Themes

  4. You should see the theme you just uploaded via FTP. Click "Activate" under the theme
