I get a redirect loop after going to wp-login.php.
The sites seem to be working fine otherwise.

Two of the sites where I can't login:

www.crestbd.ca
www.psyc304.metaplasticity.com

Thanks for your help in advance.

cheers,

steven

Hello Steven,

I can currently see the login page on both sites. Are you receiving the error after logging in or are you not able to see the login page at all?

Best Regards,

Thanks for your quick response Chris.

When I navigate to <domain name>/wp-admin for either of those two sites I get a redirect
(e.g., http://psyc304.metaplasticity.com/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fpsyc304.metaplasticity.com%2Fwp-admin%2F&reauth=1)
and then a 404 Error; or my browser just stops responding and warns me of an infinite redirect.

This is happening in both Firefox and Chrome.

This is also happening on a clients computer who is working from a different location.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Hello Stevenjb,

We do apologize for the problems you're having logging into your server. I had a tier 2c tech review the issue and the problem is related to an ongoing security issue. They suggested that you call into Technical Support on this particular issue. However, the issue will clear in several minutes. I just tried it now and it's available. There has been a rise in attempted access into your Wordpress account, so security will kick in after several wrong logins. To help with security on Wordpress sites we written several articles including one on recommended security plugins:

WordPress Security Plugins

If you have any further questions, please contact technical support available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.

Hello Steven, and thanks for your question.

Sorry for the issues you've been experiencing, you can read a news update that I just posted to our site about WordPress wp-login.php brute force attack for more information on this matter.

Essentially there is a large scale brute force attack against WordPress websites going on right now, and we've implemented some security precautions to help prevent this abuse.

Please let us know if you have any questions at all, or continue to run into any problems.
