error 406 not acceptable

I am experiencing Error 406 Not Acceptable messages, intermittently. I have disable Mod Security, any ideas?

Hello bdonison, and thanks for your question. I see that your account last encountered a 406 error about 7 hours ago from looking at the Apache error log on the server. I also see that it does look like you do have mod_security currently disabled. Have you encountered this error again since following our guide on disabling mod_security via the cPanel Modsec Manager? It looks like the errors were coming from the /wp-admin/plugin-editor.php file. Also it doesn't appear that the domain you have setup with us is currently pointing at our server, and is still set to your previous host. I would recommend modifying your hosts file while testing on our server before updating your domain's name servers to point to us. You could possibly be having an issue when using the temporary URL due to it running under a different user than your account, that does still have mod_security enabled. Please let us know if you continue to experience these errors intermittently after accessing your domain directly instead of the temporary URL. - Jacob |
