We are attempting to add posts to our wordpress website, lovellchronicle.com but get this error message when attempting to add a photo to the post:

Error 406 - Not Acceptable
An error has occurred. Generally a 406 error is caused because a request has been blocked by Mod Security. If you believe that your request has been blocked by mistake please contact the web site owner.

I have not made any changes to the site. Please advise ASAP.

i am also having this same error 406 in our site and i am now in the impression that all word press sites are under attack by hackers (using different ip's or bots). After the Error 406 i then have another error message:

Just give it a time, i think they are going thru it. Also, please make sure to change your word press password - this is just a secondary level of protection. We don't know if those hackers got something in their hands after the attack. So be safe!

Hello Lovellnews,

There was an attempt to place a mod_security update, and it affected some sites negatively. We do apologize for trouble. According to systems, a recent change to the Mod Security rule set this off. They have since reverted it and it should be back to the previous setting before the modification was applied.

If you continue to have problems with the issue, please contact live support for immediate action.

If you have any further questions, please contact technical support available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.

Regards,

Arnel C.
