What is the steps, easiest way to create a copy of wordpress website for testing? Can someone point to a doc on this? thanks

The best way to do what you want is to simply install another wordpress instance into a subfolder (for example: yourdomain.com/test) This ensures each wordpress installation uses its own database and does not interfere with one another.

You install the second the same as the first, but simply add the foldername during the install process.
