How do I bulk import products into OpenCart?
Best Answer not yet chosen
I have been trying to import product data to my website open cart without putting one item at a time since this is not possible when you have many product from a drop shipper. FileZilla seems to work with one product at a time. Exporting spreadsheet from open cart to put product data erases whatever is on it. Downloading product data into an MS spreadsheet and importing it to the open cart gives me a fatal error report. I've been seriously stuck for almost 3wks now. How do i get it to work. Do i have an option to use a different shopping cart?. Open cart is not in the list under website.

Hi Fedco,
Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you today. We have a whole tutorial series on OpenCart, as it is one of the shopping carts we recommend. However, we do not cover bulk imports in our tutorial series. Most OpenCart extensions that handle the import and export of products charge a fee for the extension. I did find one extension that is free, that may help you out:
Bulk Import/ Export for OpenCart
Please keep in mind, I have not used this extension so I'm not sure of how well it works. I'm happy to look into this further for you.
If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.
Thanks!
