...and how will that effect the URL structure when accessing a webpage using the SSL?

If I name the SSL certificate "secure." will mysite.com show up a secure.mysite.com when accessing a secure version of a webpage on my site?

Is there anyway to strip the Certificate Name and just show https://mysite.com ?

Thanks,

Hello Teebid,

Thanks for submitting a question about how to strip SSL certificate name.

The 'desired certificate name' is the name you want the SSL to be set up for. Most go with their main domain name, for example: domain.com If you state 'secure' then the certificate would be made for secure.domain.com.

If you want it to be just yoursite.com, simply put yoursite.com in that slot.

I hope this answers your question. If you have any more questions or information specific to the issue please leave a comment below so we can further assist you.

Best Regards,
Scott M
