Why does InMotion use MelbourneIT, an Australian Company, for domains?

MelbourneIT is one of the world's largest Domain Registrars, and while they operate out of Australia, it really is a global business. Many other companies are resellers for MelbourneIT such as Yahoo. MelbourneIT has over 4 million domains that they actively manage. While MelbourneIT is the wholesaler for domain management, customer support and management will come directly from InMotion Hosting. Truthfully, you'll never deal with MelbourneIT and they'll never contact you. Many web hosts act as resellers for domains and usually is standard practice. InMotion Hosting has been in the web hosting business for 10 years and we keep growing. Our business practices have proven successful for our customers as well as our company.
