Is there a way to verify that a sub-domain is still available using Python? Once verified, how can I map the sub-domain to a public IP address using Python?

Hello,

The cPanel already does this functionality. Is this something you can use? What is your purpose for this code? There may be another feature or function you can use to do it.

Kindest Regards,

Hi,

I cannot use cPanel, because I am trying to map the sub-domains from an external application. Is there a way to make this change through an API call or some other external method?

Thanks.

Hello,

As you are on a shared server you would need to use a wildcard subdomain and then handle all the routing of the data via your htaccess file.

I assume I can use ftp to transfer the modified htacess file but is there a way that I can create the subdomains externally so that I don't have to manually add them through cPanel?

Without knowing your exact purpose, it's quite hard to point you in the right direction. If a wildcard subdomain is created, you won't need to make any cPanel changes as your .htaccess file will be mapping those subdomains to the desired location.
