Want to remove premium web builder to try joomla or other alternatives(really didn't like web builder templates). Joomla says it can't be installed because web builder is on. How to get it off?

Hi modernninja,

Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you. You need to go into the file manager using cPanel, navigate to the folder where you have published the website with Premium Web Builder, and delete the files.

It's likely an error caused by having an index.php file already there. Here's a link to using File Manager in cPanel. You'll want to delete the contents of the public_html folder but do not delete the folder itself. Also, leave the folder caled "cgi-bin" in the public_html folder as well.

If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.

Thanks!

Thanks so much for this. I had the same situation where I really didn't like the templates from the Premium Website Builder but couldn't get WP running after installation. I realized that indeed it was a conflicting error with the index.php file. Fixed it quickly, which was satisfying for a complete noob such as myself.
