Can I use opcache with Moodle on a shared server?
Recently upgraded moodle site to 2.6. OPcache is standard in PHP 5.5 and moodle uses it for performance reasons. Is it possible to enable OPcache in the php.ini file for our moodle site?
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, on shared servers opcache is not included with our PHP 5.5 build, since the configuration would affect other websites hosted in the same server.
At this time, opcache will require a VPS or Dedicated server to use, and then you can request assistance from Live Support, when configuring the server.
You can initiate an upgrade to your Hosting Plan in AMP, here is a link to our guide.
