Hello Gofer, I did a quick look within our own documentation, then questioned our local expert and the conclusion is that to do a site-map in Joomla 2.5 your best approach would be to find an extension for it. I researched the Joomla forums on the issue as well and there are only a few people trying to manually create the sitemap. They are basically stating that you can manually control what the crawlers are finding using a robots.txt file (the file that limits what search engine web crawlers can see). Unfortunately, I didn't see anyone giving a defined approach to making a sitemap for Joomla. When I searched in a search engine, I found that the topic all point to extensions that do this task for you. Try running a search on "Joomla 2.5 sitemap" and you'll find a bunch of references to the third party solutions. Apologies that we couldn't provide a more detailed answer.
