installing Imagick extension to php?

Is it possible to install the pecl Imagick extension to php?

If not, is it preferable from a security point of view to invoke Imagemagick directly from php using exec(), shell_exec, system(), or something else?

Imagick - refers to the ImageMagick extension for PHP. This extension is already installed on the server. You can find more information on this issue by going to this article:
