Hi,
I want to setup some cron jobs to turn on & off a auto responder on a support email address , so basically out of hours they get an auto response.

How can I do this ?

Hi fouldsc,

Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you today. Unfortunately, cPanel does not offer the ability to turn on and off autoresponders at specific times each day. However, you can write a php script to change the time stamps in the autoresponder's file each day to do so.

When you create an autoresponder in cPanel it creates a .JSON file located in the ".autorespond" folder in the root of your account.

Your PHP script would modify the UNIX time stamp in the file everyday at a specific time. This would enable the autoresponder based on the "new" time inserted into the file.

I hope this helps! If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.

Thanks!
