how do I modify my apache configuration?
Category: How To
Or is that even what I need to do? I have a VPS account and purchased a second domain. I created a cpanel account for this second domain. When I go to that domain's url, it takes me to the cgi-bin/defaultyaddayaddayaddafile. I put a new index file in the root public_html directory, but it still goes directly to the cgi-bin directory. I think that can be modified in the httpd.conf file, but I can not see how to modify that file via WHM or CPANEL.

Hi FrostSquid, Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you today. When you create a new account from within WHM, you set up the user on the server. This user will have a public_html folder that should be the default root of your domain. I'm more than happy to look into your settings further. Can you provide me with the domain name you're working with? Also, here's a link to creating new accounts from within cPanel. I hope this helps! If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us. Thanks! Tim S |
