How do I add a search bar to my website?
Category: How To
It's for a non-profit site I will be hosting that has 21 pages and 8 pdf files. I have checked out the free services but don't want the ads. Is there some relatively simple way I can set it up myself?

Hi gkashtan, Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you today. How you set up search on your website, can be directly related to how the website is built. If you are using a content management system such as WordPress or Joomla it's already built into the system. If you are hand coding the website you have a few options for searching your website. Google offers their custom search option: Google Custom Search However, keep in mind that Google's option includes ads unless it's a non=profit, education (.edu) website, or government agency. I hope this helps! If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us. Thanks! Tim S |
