Hi fqallaf,

Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you today. Initially, you will not have root access to the server, however, you can request Root access pretty easily. Here's a link explaining how to request root access:

Requesting Root Access

There's no waiting period, or anything like that. As soon as your VPS is provisioned you can request it. You'll have to read over the Root Access Disclosure Agreement prior to being granted root privileges.
