How can I send emails from our inhouse servers to our customers?

Hi there,
We are in the process of moving our operations center into the cloud.
Our servers send status messages and reports to our customers.
Currently we use our own in-house email server.
We are looking to basically "relay" these email messages from our InMotion account to other recipients.
On average we send between 50 to 100 emails per day

Hi Ed S,

Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you. You have two options when handling this situation if I understand you right. If your domain is currently pointed to the correct email and web server, you would need to point to A record for your domain to your InMotion Hosting account. If the domain is currently pointed to InMotion Hosting, then you'd need to create the MX record to point email to your own servers. This method bypasses our servers for email entirely.

Here's a tutorial of ours explaining how to work with DNS records.

Your other option is to forward messages once they reach our server over to your in-house server.
