Hello LauraC,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having problem with the login to FTP. The error message above indicates that you're trying to login with mainpointe. I checked your account and also tested with a test user (that I will delete immediately after this reply). Basically, the problem isn't the password, it's your user name. If you use the user name of mainpointe@mainpointe.com and your password, then the login will work. If you need to see your FTP settings, you can go into the cPanel - FTP accounts and click on "Configure FTP Client" - this will show you the exact needed to login using an FTP client.

Additionally, you do not need to create a FTP account to use FTP. You already have a master account created. It's based on your cPanel login. Here's an article on using FTP with your account:

I tried the master account also (username mainpo5 and password that I've reset to confirm it's correct) and it didn't work. Is there any ways we can do a screenshare or something to fix it?

When I reset the cpanel password does it not change the mainpo5 FTP account also? If not, I have no idea what that password is...can it be reset

Hello LauraC,

When I checked the account, it was definitely working. We unfortunately cannot share screens at this time. The username password is based on the cPanel login. Are you able to login the cPanel? If not, then there is an issue with password - you can contact live support to correct that immediately. Password correction in this public form would be a security issue and cannot be performed on the Support Center for this reason (since these posts are open to the public). If you're still having issues with the login after speaking with live support, please let us know.

If you have any further questions, please contact technical support available 24 hours a day / 7 days a week.
