Hi, I had this question and couldn't find the answer... then I figured it out by myself. I want to add my answer in here for any other Ubuntu users.

I was trying to log-in from Ubuntu. To do this go to Home Folder > Connect to Server. Select ftp (with log-in).

The tricky part for me was the server. Normally I'm used to using the web address. Instead use the shared IP address which you can find in cPanel X. Now just add your user name and password (for cPanel).

There you go! You're on the server-side now! Add and delete files as you wish! My new favorite feature of Ubuntu!
