My website was affected by the Tiger M@te hacker and now I get tons of spam that usually takes the form of 'Mail Delivery Failure' or 'Warning: Mail Delayed...' or some variation.

Also, the 'failed mail' seems to be generated by my own email account sending to people I don't know. I have put in place all sorts of spam filters and these are working well enough. But it is a constant nuisance.

I never had this problem before. How do I get rid of it?

Hi SRL,

Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you today. The TigerM@te hack did not affect any servers in regards to email. It was a defacement hack and only replaced index pages on the site. The issues you seem to be having are unrelated to that incident.

We're happy to troubleshoot this issue further for you, however, we'd need to see a copy of the messages you are receiving. Also, I checked the server logs and I do see a failure message in the logs due to a SPAM blacklist related to an IP address of what appears to be an ISP. Do you use freenet?

If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us.

Thanks!
