Hello pjeckman,

It looks like you were attempting to send from a @hotmail.com account to our mail server. Because we utilize public blacklists like SpamCop, the message was rejected because it was sent from an IP address that was listed on SpamCop.

It looks like on SpamCop they state in reference to the IP address 65.54.190.15: In the past 3.4 days, it has been listed 4 times for a total of 2.8 days

So it looks like spam is coming out of hotmail.com server's, getting their mailing IPs blacklisted, and then causing outbound emails from yourself to servers that check against blacklists to reject your message.

You can read more about why mail servers get blacklisted, or even how to request a delisting from a blacklist to help understand these issues better.

Unfortuantely, using a free email provider like Homail.com you have the potential that millions of other users could be spamming from the same mail server IPs that you are trying to use when sending mail through their services. So if you continue to have issues with their mail server IPs getting rejected, you might want to try sending directly from your domain or another source.

Please let us know if you had any further questions at all.

Hello mmbinv, and thanks for your question.

This looks to have probably been a temporary delivery issue that shouldn't be happening any longer.

If you take a look at the error message from your bounce back, the main part to pay attention to is:

[65.54.190.13]:55507 is 550 in an RBL

This means that one of hotmail.com's sending IP addresses was on a black list that our server checks. It got blocked by our spam filters because that IP address had user complaints on SpamCop.net

It doesn't look like their IP address is still blacklisted, and more than likely a new IP address will be used for new delivery attempts anyways. I see successful deliveries between the two mentioned email accounts since 12/29/2012 when that bounce back is from.

I hope that answers your question, if you have any more please let us know!
