Is it possible to use an external name server?

I would like to keep my existing DNS records at my current nameserver. All of your directions point to changing nameservers. Is it possible to configure inmotionhosting with external nameservers?

If so, what record(s) do I need to create at my current nameserver to make it work?

Hello Benjam,

It is very possible to use your own name servers for your website. If you're using our services to manage your domain, then you simply have to create custom name servers. If you're using someone else to manage, then you would need to provide the IP address for the hosting service here. The best way to get this information is call/email into live support, verify your account, and specify that you need the IP addresses to specify for your custom name servers.
