Do I need to have root access in order to setup Mysql Replication?
There is my.cnf file in my root dir. Is this where I make the changes to setup replication?

Hello Dan,

Thanks for the question. Yes, for MySQL replication you would need to have root access and also access to secure shell (terminal). This is normally only available on a VPS or Dedicated server account.

I hope this answers your question! Please let us know if you have any further comments or questions.

Regards,
Arnel C.
