missing wiki database credentials
Category: Databases
Hi,
In my http://wiki.brookingwatson.com/, the wiki is telling me my database is out of date and I need to enter my credentials to update the database:
"To verify that you are a site administrator, enter your database credentials (database username and password) here.
If you have forgotten your database credentials, find the directory where you have unpacked your Tiki and have a look inside the db folder into the local.php file"
I know my db user name, but do not know my password. I looked in the email you sent me when I set the wiki up, but to no avail. I looked in the local.php file, but it only has the user name and not the pw. I tried my AMP password...
Can you help me with the password?
Thx

Hello Rob_Narejko, The file that contains the database configuration and settings for Tiki Wiki is located from the wiki root at /db/local.php. In your case, it would be public_html/wiki/db/local.php The password is known as the $pass_tiki variable in the file. That should be the correct password for your database connection, so it should also work for your update as well. I hope this answers your question. If you have any more questions or information specific to the issue please leave a comment below so we can further assist you. Best Regards, Scott M |
