How do I import a large database to my account?
Category: Databases
I am moving drupal site from bluehost and if am not having success restoring the database (160MB). Using mysql command line restoring backup I get :
ERROR 2006 (HY000) at line 16686: MySQL server has gone away
MySQL Administrator ends up hanging or just crashes. I tried PHPMyAdmin and it is not up to doing it as the timeouts occur. Any suggestions? I am using Business Hosting Account.

Hi timothy, Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you. There's a 50MB limit on mysql databases so you won't be able to restore the database yourself. We're more than happy to do it for you. You can upload the sql backup to your hosting account, then open a ticket to our support department. This can be accomplished by emailing support@inmotionhosting.com In the email be sure to include the file name and where it is located as well as your cPanel username. Also, for security purposes you'll need to provide the last four digits of the credit card on file or the current AMP password. I hope this helps! If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us. Thanks! Tim S |
