Cannot execute sql in phpMyAdmin

When executing SQL in phpMyAdmin it simply returns the errors:

import.php: Missing parameter: import_typeDocumentation
import.php: Missing parameter: formatDocumentation

FYI - this is a brand new site - haven't done anything special beyond creating the database in cPanel and importing the schema in phpMyAdmin.
