Missing data from archived log
Category: Cpanel
This morning (8am PST 1/30/2012) I checked "latest visitors" I saw about 150 entries. Now (9pm PST 1/30/2012) I can't get to those entries nor find them from the monthly archived logs! The last updated log for this month has timestamp of 1/29/2012.
Could you please investigate and retrieve those entries for me? These are very critical since we are tracking some important user pattern with our website.
Really appreciate your help!

Hi dieuamtinhtong, Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you. The latest visitors reports what's on the server log at that time. The server must clear those logs periodically. You can access the Raw Access Logs in cPanel. You can download the logs and work with the data from there, as this will be the entire log for the month. Once you are logged into cPanel find the icon "Raw Access Logs" and click on it. At the bottom, you can download the entire months worth of data in a compressed file to work with on your local computer. I hope this helps! If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us. Thanks! Tim S |
