How do I set up a temporary url for a new WHM account?

I want to start a new account in WHM not right under the main (not add-on or sub), that will use a new account's public_html, and will work with the WHM "create a new account" page successfully. I want to use a temp url for testing before pointing name servers, and it of course does not allow me to use the domain already in use on another host. If I use the temp url under my main account in AMP I believe it will use home/mainaccount/public_html. Help please.

Hi Mike,

Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you. When you create a new account within WHM and create a username, you will use this for the temp url. Let's say your on vps9111 and you create a new account with the username newwebsite. Then your temp url for that account would be: vps9111.inmotionhosting.com/~newwebsite.

Can you also inform us what the FTP Host will be for this new account?

The hostname will be the same as the server host. in the previous example its vps9111.inmotionhosting.com. You can also use the domain name as the host as long it is pointing to your server with us.
