Currently, we have an immediate need for two (2) Tier II Linux Support Specialists.

We provide shared hosting, VPS hosting ( with Virtuozzo), and dedicated hosting with Cpanel/Web Host Manager control panel/management interface. Our network includes 200+ Linux servers, networked power systems, routers, switches, backup raid arrays, VPNs, firewalls, VOIP servers, and even a few Windows machines.

Required Skills:

• Be familiar with installing/operating Linux
• Have experience/understanding of web-based software (Primarily PHP driven)
• Experience with Apache, MySQL, PHP, DNS, and Mail services
• Have strong troubleshooting skills in general and with web software
• Be Willing to work the over night shift in rotation with others and be willing to work at least 1 weekend night. (Tues-Sat or Sun-Thur)
  ** Additional compensation (Up to $6,000/year) is provided when working the over night rotation

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Be detail oriented and have a high degree of ownership
• Have experience with cPanel/Web Host Manager/Virtuozzo
• Have experience with Centos/RHEL
• Have light/medium programming experience in PHP, Perl, Shell
• Experience with manually configuring Apache, Exim, MySQL, BIND
• Experience in an on call situation and familiar with monitoring systems like Nagios

You will join our systems team in troubleshooting technical issues, handling technically advanced customer requests, and reacting to issues raised by our monitoring systems. Your role in our team will be understanding our platform so as to provide a high quality of service and expert technical advice on demand to other team members as well as our customers. This will involve pushing yourself to understand configuring and optimizing software like Apache and MySQL, as well as gaining a deeper understanding our shared, VPS, and dedicated platforms as a whole.

Compensation:

• $27,040-$31,200 / year
• Individual Performance Bonus: up to $1,200/year

Being comfortable helping clients over the phone, via email, or chat will be very important. We provide training for our products and services. H.S. Diploma and some college or equal experience required.

Compensation: Compensation is in accordance with experience and commitment. The range is $11 to $13 per hour for a beginning Technical Support Tier I Representative. After 90 days of employment and passed testing - pay raise in base pay. Performance bonuses are also included as compensation.
