Dedicated Server Details and Options
We provide support of the Dedicated Servers in much the same way as we do for VPS or shared web hosting. We can help with things like email issues, database connectivity issues, upload issues, etc. In general, if you do not choose the Root Access option, with Dedicated Servers, we will do more in depth troubleshooting of the web server, mail server, MySQL server, FTP server, POP server, etc. If you choose the Root Access option, different rules concerning support apply.
We will also perform system administration related alterations as follows:
The addition, removal, or version change of any modules or software above requires a recompile of Apache. The first recompile is included for free. Each additional recompile is $25. Typically, the recompile can be scheduled and performed within 1 business day, but times may vary. Although most of these modules have been tested thoroughly, you are responsible for backup of your information prior to requesting the changes.
Other PHP module installs may be available at additional fees.
Please note: In general, the less software compiled into Apache the better.
